Applied Philosophy

Not what he seems.

Philosophy is nothing if it isn’t relevant – so to illustrate the importance of philosophy in everyday life, I’m proud to reveal a project that’s been long in the making.
The classic, Pride and Prejudice, has been tirelessly reworked to tell the story of Elizabeth Bennet with a twist! All the characters in this novel are philosophical zombies – they are incapable of conscious experience. They just go through the motions, and purport to have all the same beliefs, desires, and dispositions real humans do. Seen through prism of these dismal automata, the book gains whole new levels of subtlety and can be seen as a shocking indictment of inauthentic action.
